First Day of School - Regular Start

Welcome back to school!

  • First day of school for grades 1-12 on Thursday, September 5, 2024 is a "regular start" time of day. Some schools have parent meetings on this day.
  • "Late start" collaboration does not start until Thursday, September 12.
  • Look for specific details from your school.
    • NOTE: Central Valley Virtual Learning (CVVL) K-8, Spokane Valley Learning Academy (SVLA) K-8, Mica Peak High School and School to Life are on a different schedule to start later, following parent meetings.
  • Kindergarten and CV Early Learning Center Preschool do not start until Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
    • Kinder Family Conferences: Kinder family conferences align with the first four days of school and include parent/teacher meetings, school orientation, important assessments and more.
