Joe Pauley | Career & Technical Education and ELA
Hi! I’m Mr. Pauley, and I teach primarily Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses at CVVL, including computer science, cybersecurity, technology literacy, and career planning. I also teach ELA! I’ve been in education for 28 years, and I still love sparking students’ curiosity, getting them excited about learning, and helping them see how what they’re learning can connect to their future.
One thing I want my students to know is that I truly care. I want to get to know you, support you on your journey, and help you succeed. Ask me anything, anytime! If I can help, I will—and if I can’t, I’ll help you find someone who can. I want to be an advocate for you.
If you’re interested in computer science, cybersecurity, game development, technology, or exploring career pathways, come talk to me! I have industry experience in these areas and would love to help you explore your interests and start planning for your future.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, camping, fishing, keeping up with the latest trends in technology and AI, and playing video games on just about anything—PS5, Nintendo, and emulation!
